Quinta e sexta feira da semana passada aconteceu em Santos, no bonito Teatro Guarany da foto acima, o seminário “Cibercultura 10+10“. A ideia do evento era propor um debate em torno dos dez anos que passaram desde a tradução para o português do clássico “Cibercultura” (disponível em PDF), do tunisiano Pierre Levy, e dos dez anos que estão por vir. Para o debate foram chamados nomes como Sérgio Amadeu, André Lemos, Laymert Garcia dos Santos, Gilberto Gil, José Murilo, Cláudio Prado, dentre outros que participaram virtualmente – além do autor do livro em questão, Pierre Levy, atualmente professor da cadeira de inteligência coletiva na Universidade de Ottawa, no Canadá, e membro da Sociedade Real do Canadá (Academia Canadense de Ciências e Humanidades).
No 1º dia, quinta-feira, teve a discussão propriamente dita em torno da cibercultura, os dez anos passados e os dez próximos, enquanto que o dia seguinte o foco foi a cultura do remix. A organização do evento montou uma oficina de remix audiovisual em cima da discografia de Gil, usando apenas softwares livres. O áudio e o vídeo do show do cantor estavam disponíveis para que o público remontasse as canções como quisessem. Quem fizesse upload com a hashtag #10mais10 entrava na seleção do material apresentado ao final do dia.

Para quem, assim como eu, não teve a oportunidade de acompanhar o evento ao vivo, também transmitido para a web, existem ainda vários meios de retomar, discutir, observar e refletir sobre aquilo que esteve em pauta nos dois dias de debate do “Cibercultura10+10”. Pros mais detalhistas e curiosos, que não querem perder os comentários em tempo real, há a possibilidade de recuperar a íntegra do bate papo online que aconteceu no momento do evento, tanto do 1º quanto do 2º dia. Há outros caminhos para saber mais sobre os debates. Tem um post no blog do recém-nascido Partido Pirata do Brasil, o único que encontrei que traz um relato mais pormenorizado sobre o que aconteceu no primeiro dia de debate, com direito a explanação das ideias trabalhadas por Levy em sua apresentação; outro do Trezentos, que na minha modesta visão está pra lá de chapa branca, só exaltando a “beleza” do evento; um pequeno e simples relato no fórum Cultura Digital, que tem com grande mérito compilar parte do conteúdo produzido sobre o evento em outros locais; e um post simples mas completo no blog O Livreiro, que pesca algumas citações das matérias dos jornalões já citados e acrescenta um vídeo do Globo.com onde Levy apresenta o projeto no qual trabalha atualmente, o IEML, uma linguagem artificial que tem a capacidade expressiva de uma linguagem natural e a vantagem computacional de ser também uma linguagem de programação.

Para fechar: no segundo dia do evento, dedicado a discussão e prática da cultura do remix, teve um determinado momento da palestra, reproduzido pela matéria do Estadão, que músicos de Santos resolveram perder o medo e fizeram a pergunta-que-nao-quer-calar:
